#GivingTuesday with GoPro for a Cause

This is the time of year when nonprofits around the world celebrate #GivingTuesday-a big day in the biggest fundraising period of the year.

The underlying purpose of our GoPro for a Cause nonprofit partnership program is to help generate awareness for causes that align with our core values. Since 2015, we've supported more than 1,000 organizations with product donations, monetary donations, and volunteering. We admire all our cause partners, and we appreciate the work they're doing to support active youth, empower underserved communities, and champion environmental protection and progression.

Today, on GivingTuesday, we're highlighting a few of our cause partners in the hope that you'll take an interest in their work and feel inspired to give and support their mission.

THE SOCIAL ENGINEERING PROJECT

The Social Engineering Project encourages underrepresented students of color to master math, science, chemistry, physics, engineering, and computer science through culturally relevant education, go to college, major in a technical field of study, and pursue technical careers to increase the economic, environmental, and social vitality of their communities. A donation to The Social Engineering Project allows students to experience immersive educational programs like global hackathons, family science nights, and data science camps, among other programs.

CHANGING TIDES FOUNDATION

Changing Tides Foundation is a women-led organization on a mission to protect the planet. It's a community of people of all genders, shapes, colors, and sizes who feel connected to the ocean and advocate for the planet and all its inhabitants. Through its Women's Outreach Mentorship Program (WOMP), the organization mentors underserved teen girls using surfing as a tool for empowerment and environmental education. Often, economic and social inequality prevent accessibility to the ocean. Donate today to bridge that gap and give young women a newfound love for the ocean and the opportunity to build confidence in and out of the water.

WILDCOAST/COSTASALVAJE

WILDCOAST is an international team that helps protect 38 million acres of coastlines, ocean habitat, coral reefs, mangrove forests, sea turtle nesting beaches, gray whale breeding lagoons, wetlands, islands, and more. In Oaxaca, Mexico, WILDCOAST protects 22.5 miles of coastline, the two most important olive ridley sea turtle nesting beaches in the world, where more than 72 million eggs have hatched since 2017. Your donation helps preserve healthy, thriving oceans and wild coastlines.
