At first, it was thought that the Free Emtee' social media campaign that's been trending since Monday had something to do with the Ambitiouz Entertainment rapper's presumed arrest.
However, as reported by IOL News, the term arrested was used figuratively. Scores of fans rallied behind Emtee when he took to the Twitter streets to voice out his frustrations with the independent record label he's signed to.

Why does Emtee want to leave Ambitiouz Entertainment?Label issues concerning artists and Ambitiouz have become a norm in local entertainment. Emtee has become the fourth notable act to publicly state his displeasure with how his label situation is set up at Ambitiouz.
In 2018 the independent label lost high-selling acts like A-Reece, Fefe Cooper and Benchmarq due to frustrations with how they were treated.
During the turmoil, the label's most successful artist, Emtee, was quiet, opting to remove himself from taking any sides because at least his cheques were clearing.
However, we would learn of his frustrations earlier in 2019 when he made subliminal accusations about the quality of treatment he has received.

Bureaucratic processesIn an earlier rant, the artist noted that there were bureaucratic issues that had halted the release of a biographical documentary he wanted to release.
Marketing issues with recent albumHe also complained about the lacklustre performance his sophomore album DIY2. According to the rapper, not much effort was put into marketing the product the way new sensations such as Amanda Black were being taken care of.
Has Emtee left Ambitiouz Entertainment?The Roll Up' star put the question of leaving his label to the fans, a majority of which voted that he should. Since then, the rapper has posted cryptic tweets, suggesting that he is no longer in the employ of Ambitiouz.
