Miranda to Demonstrate Robust Range at CAPER 0 in Buenos Aires

Stand: C10 (SVC) - Miranda Technologies, a Belden Brand, a global provider of integrated solutions for production, playout and delivery systems for television broadcasters and multi-system operators, will feature the strength and depth of its range of broadcast solutions at CAPER 2013 taking place in Buenos Aires October 23-25.

Miranda solutions provide cost-efficient, reliable, high quality technology that helps broadcasters all over Latin America produce and monetize content such as live sports, newscasts and other programming.

Acquisition and connectivity

Fiber connectivity solutions from Miranda's Telecast product line and a range of cables from parent company Belden will be featured at Caper. The new, ultra-compact Telecast Rattler 4 fiber optic serial digital video transmission module and Terrapin fiber optic digital video transmitter, receiver, and digital video distribution amplifier will be demonstrated., Additionally, a SMPTE Hybrid Elimination Device (SHED) adapter enables users to deploy ordinary, single-mode optical fiber for HD and slow motion camera links to eliminate bulky hybrid cables.

Production

On hand at Caper will be Miranda's space-saving NVISION 8140 hybrid router provides a 144x288 routing matrix in a compact 8RU frame with ultimate reliability due to full 2+1 crosspoint protection. The ultra-efficient router, part of Miranda's NVISION 8500 Enterprise Class router series, includes hybrid modules, which offer integrated audio/video switching, and processing for a range of 4K options.

Production monitoring requirements are addressed by Miranda's new Kaleido-MX and Kaleido-Modular-X multiviewers. Both multiviewer options combine weight, space and power efficiencies with no-compromise video scaling quality for true any source, anywhere processing. Kaleido-MX is specially designed to be easy to select, configure and install, whether in large studios or OB trucks.

Playout

For playout applications, Miranda will feature its flagship integrated playout platform, iTX, which features several new enhancements, including version 1.1 of iTX Render Service for Adobe After Effects CS6 software. iTX Render Service automates and manages fully rendered After Effects graphics, making them immediately ready for playout from the iTX platform, or Miranda's Vertigo Suite of graphics automation and asset management tools, which will also feature at the show.

Also being demonstrated is iTX Master Control, which combines playout automation with live event functionality featuring familiar, easy to operate hardware control panels that can be seamlessly switched to/from throughout a live broadcast.

Miranda's ImageStore 750 HD/SD master control and branding processors, plus Densit LGK-3901 logo insertion and downstream keyer modules, round out the playout and master control display.

Miranda will be represented at CAPER 2013 by its Argentinean distributor, SVC, on Stand C10.
