Every Wednesday night at 7pm on Time Warner Cable, A Taste of New York airs for a refined New York audience. One of the weekly segments appearing on A Taste of New York is Tools of the Trade, an inside look with show director/filmmaker Aton Maiti, who shares some of his favorite industry tricks and secrets with the audience. Recently, a Tools of the Trade segment featured the Litepanels Sola ENG Flight Kit and the advantages of these LED lighting fixtures.

During the Tools of the Trade segment featuring the Flight Kit, Maiti explained to his viewers We do a lot of traveling, and this Litepanels Sola ENG LED Flight Kit comes in this amazing case that fits in an overhead compartment. It comes with three of the same lights inside. They all have barn doors, they're all LED, and they're made with the proprietary heat free LED technology.
There is an integrated dimmer that goes from 100% to 0 with no noticeable color shift. There's flicker free output. These are totally eco-friendly; they use up about 95% less energy than you're going to get from standard, heavy, hot lights. So these are really good when you're traveling, especially when using other people's power, and you don't want to blow a circuit.
They even go on top of the cameraHandhelds, stands, however you want to use them, they pretty much can cover all of your lighting in one kit.
