MTS Redeems Series 05 Ruble Bond

Moscow, Russian Federation - Mobile TeleSystems PJSC ( MTS or the Company - NYSE: MBT; MOEX: MTSS), the leading telecommunications provider in Russia, announces the repayment of its series 05 ruble-denominated bond (the bond), which was issued on July 28, 2009, in the amount of RUB 15 bln.

The RUB 15 bln series 05 ruble-denominated bond with maturity on July 19, 2016, and a three-year put option was issued on July 28, 2009. The coupon was to be paid annually at the rate of 14.25% for the 1st-3rd coupons and at the rate of 8.75% for 4th-7th coupons. The put-option was executed on July 24, 2012, and the Company repurchased around RUB 13.2 bln of the instrument. Today, MTS repaid the remaining portion of the instrument in the amount of RUB 1.8 bln in addition to the remaining coupon.
