Munich, May 8, 2019. Premiere for Germanys new streaming service: In June 2019, Joyn (formerly 7TV), the app featuring Germany's biggest range of Free-TV content, will be launched. Joyn, the joint venture of ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery, offers live streams from over 50 TV channels. In addition, there is an extensive on-demand offering of original series, shows, exclusive previews and many other exciting local content on Joyn. Large amounts of content will be available seven days before TV broadcast and 30 days after on catch-up. Joyn is available via smartphones, tablets, web and smart TVs.

7TV becomes Joyn
The Joyn brand combines the words Joy and Join and thus unites the heart of the platform: entertainment that is fun, connects people and brings together one of the most extensive German TV streaming offers in one place. The app's official launch will be accompanied by a major marketing campaign on all channels of ProSiebenSat.1, Discovery and beyond. Havas M nchen is creatively implementing the campaign.
When it officially premieres in June, Joyn will be showing a variety of exclusive and original content. This includes season three of the hit series jerks. with Christian Ulmen and Fahri Yardim and an exclusive preview of new series Die L usemutter. Joyn will continuously expand its content portfolio and collaborate with well-known local faces. At the end of 2019, originals such as the ProSieben co-produced series Check Check (AT) with Klaas Heufer-Umlauf and Frau Jordan stellt gleich with Katrin Bauerfeind will also be available exclusively at Joyn. In addition, the content from maxdome and the Eurosport Player will be integrated into the offer in the future. This will create a comprehensive Free-TV and video-on-demand offering and a new aggregator platform for Germany.

Joyn GmbH, founded in May 2019, is a 50/50 joint venture of ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery. Joyn is a multi-channel entertainment streaming platform that bundles live streams and on-demand contents of more than 50 channels from ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery as well as 15 other content partners - on one platform and in one app. Users can view content free of charge and without registration on iOS and Android-enabled devices as well as on the web and via Smart TVs. The aim is to create a comprehensive German OTT platform for multi-channel content. New features and content will be added continuously until the winter, and the content of maxdome and the Eurosport Player will be integrated into the platform.
