The P5 Desktop LTO Edition is Archiware's professional data management solution for small workgroups. The bundle consists of the products P5 Archive and P5 Backup for use with a single LTO tape drive. The combination of backup and archive provides a solution for maximum data protection. Features include automatic backup and archive, with a catalogue including metadata, proxies and previews. Supported platforms include Mac, Win, Linux, QNAP, and FreeNAS.
Additionally, users benefit from advantages of archive and backup to LTO tape, including offsite storage, the lowest cost per TB and a shelf life of up to 30 years.
Special times require special measures. As a manufacturer of a backup and archive solutions, we asked ourselves how we could help the many small companies and freelancers during this severe crisis. This is how the offer of a free desktop edition was created. It enables customers to use a professional solution, so that they do not have to save on data security or archiving, highlights Josef Doods, CEO of Archiware.
Archiware's limited-time offer provides one license per customer. The P5 Desktop LTO Edition, which usually costs 1,200 EUR, is now free. Three months of support and maintenance are included based on the date of activation. After expiration, maintenance and support can easily be renewed via Archiware's channel partners. The deadline to register for a free P5 LTO Desktop Edition license is July 31st 2020.
The P5 Desktop LTO Edition is compatible with single LTO tape drives from MagStor, mLogic, Overland-Tandberg, IBM, Quantum, HPE and others.
