TELEGENIC SELECTS EVS AND FINELINE MEDIA FINANCE AS IT EQUIPS NEW 4K TRUCK 29 May 2013

Telegenic has purchased multiple EVS XT3 live broadcast servers to equip its new 4K truck, with approximately £1.5m finance provided by Fineline Media Finance.

Telegenic purchased seven new XT3 servers and upgraded a further five for installation into the new truck, named T25. Telegenic is working with Sony to develop Ultra-HD live coverage, and the T25 truck is currently on its way to Brazil to cover three football matches in U-HD.

Peter Bates, Managing Director, Telegenic, said, EVS has been the industry standard for live broadcast servers for several years. Their latest machine, XT3, offers an increase in the number of channels and will work in AVC-I which is our preferred choice of HD codec for quality.

Bates added, This is the first deal we have concluded with Fineline, it was painless and won't be the last. Their industry knowledge is definitely an advantage and they demonstrated a flexible and accommodating approach to the financing, working with the supplier and Telegenic to reach an agreement within what turned out to be a pretty tight schedule.
