Remote and decentralized live production workflows are becoming increasingly common in live sports. The Esports industry, however, is a pioneer in this space.
One vendor pushing the envelope on these types of technologies is Advanced Systems Group (ASG), whose solution Virtual Truck allows for major live productions to occur on software-based tools in the cloud.
At the 2024 SVG Esports Production Forum, we spoke with Dave Van Hoy, President of ASG, to learn about Virtual Truck, break down a use case example with Chess.com, and look ahead to the future of these production workflows.
