CINEMARK ANNOUNCES OPENING OF NEW -SCREEN MOVIE EATRE IN TEMPLE, TX

New Multiplex Features Cinemarks NextGen Cinema Design Concept and an XD Auditorium

Opening Weekend Festivities Include Food Drive and Visit from Santa Claus

PLANO, Texas (December 19, 2013) - Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CNK), one of the worlds leading motion picture exhibitors will open a new 12-screen, all-digital movie theatre featuring the new Cinemark NextGen cinema design concept in Temple, TX on Friday, December 20, 2013. The new Cinemark Temple and XD theatre will be located at 4501 South General Bruce Drive, Temple, TX 76502, off Interstate 35, just north of Midway Road.

The new NextGen theatre will showcase large, wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling screens, enhanced sound systems, and digital presentation in every auditorium. In addition, the complex will feature a Cinemark XD: Extreme Digital Cinema auditorium and seven of the auditoriums will be RealD 3D capable. Many of the new holiday blockbusters, including ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES, WALKING WITH DINOSAURS 3D, 47 RONIN, AMERICAN HUSTLE, THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY, and SAVING MR. BANKS will be showcased at the new theatre.

In keeping with the spirit of the holidays, Cinemark is proud to unwrap our new NextGen theatre for movie lovers in Temple, and surrounding areas, states Tim Warner, Cinemarks Chief Executive Officer. This new complex will offer a state-of-the-art entertainment experience for our guests including an XD auditorium, the number one private label PLF in the world.

For the grand opening weekend, December 20-22, Cinemark is partnering with Food For Families on a unique food drive. Everyone who brings in a can of food will receive a coupon for a free popcorn and soft drink, which can be used at the new theatre. The offer is limited to one coupon per person per day, but it is redeemable at the theatre until January 31, 2014. Food For Families is an annual food drive to collect non-perishable items for local area food banks and pantries in nine counties all across Central Texas.

In addition, the new Cinemark Temple and XD theatre will present a free screening on Saturday morning, December 21st at 10:00 of the beloved holiday classic, ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE. And Santa Claus will make an appearance on Saturday afternoon from 12 noon until 4:00pm to take photos with the kids and listen to their last minute requests.

Long recognized as a pioneer in the theatrical exhibition industry, Cinemark is taking the cinema entertainment experience to the next level. The new NextGen theatre will offer the latest technology, amenities, and customer preferred options all under one roof. These NextGen amenities include:

State-of-the-art viewing environment with wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor screens available in all auditoriums.

4K digital projection powered by Barco projectors; RealD 3D capability in nine auditoriums.

Enhanced, sound systems that will enable customers to hear the movie as the filmmakers intended.

A cafeteria style concession stand - offering freshly-popped popcorn, Coca-Cola fountain beverages, favorite candy brands, chicken tenders and wedge fries.

Party room for birthdays and celebrations.

Cinemark XD offers a complete entertainment environment featuring a large wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor screen, plush seating and custom immersive digital surround sound featuring the new Barco Auro system. The digital images are delivered by a Doremi server and a Barco DLP digital projector, which offers the brightest light standards in the industry. The XD auditorium exhibits the newest movies every week, including 2D and RealD 3D pictures.

In order to make movie-going as easy and enjoyable as possible, Cinemark focuses on offering more choices to their customers. For example, the new theatre will feature online Print at Home ticketing, available at www.cinemark.com. This will make it easy for patrons to purchase tickets in advance from the comfort of their home or office. Customers will be able to bypass lines at the box office and go directly to kiosks in the theatre lobby. Also, guests can download and purchase tickets through Cinemarks mobile applications that are available for iPhone and Android phones. Finally, to stay connected, customers can sign up online to receive free, weekly showtime emailers that contain online coupons for discounts at the concession stand and other weekly special offers.

Besides the events listed previously, the new theatre will giveaway Swag Bags filled with Cinemark and movie-themed items to the first 75 ticket purchasers each day of opening weekend, while supplies last. Radio remotes and live broadcasts by US105 FM, B106FM, K101 FM and KISS FM will round out the weekend.
