The finale of The Secret She Keeps concluded on RT One last night and received an overnight average of almost 260,000 viewers with a 26.4 percent share, an increase of 58,000 viewers from the previous week. This figure will grow significantly as the final week of The Secret She Keeps continues to bring in catch-up viewing and will be available on RT Player for the next twelve months.
The Secret She Keeps is a drama about two women from vastly different backgrounds - one with a seemingly perfect life, and the other who will do anything to emulate it.
The highly-anticipated 6-part drama attracted a loyal weekly audience throughout the series. Consolidated figures for the series saw almost 290,000 viewers watch the first five episode of The Secret She Keeps with a 28 percent share. The consolidated figure for the whole series will be available next week.
Dermot Horan, RT 's Head of Acquisitions and Co-Productions said: The Secret She Keeps proves high quality drama, well told with recognisable themes we can all identify with works with our viewers both on television and on the RTE Player. And for those who may have missed it the series will continue to be on RT Player for the next 12 months.
Drama fans can continue to get their weekly fix with a new drama The Victim' coming to RT One on Tuesday 21st July in the Secret She Keeps and Normal People slot at 22:10. The Victim is a character driven thriller played out across two time frames through the eyes of the plaintiff and the accused. Set within Scotland's unique legal system, the show asks: who is really the victim'? More information can be found on the RT Press Centre.

The Secrets She Keeps is a drama about two women from vastly different backgrounds - one with a seemingly perfect life, and the other who will do anything to emulate it.
Set in Sydney and the Blue Mountains, the screen adaptation of Michael Robotham's bestselling novel. Starring Laura Carmichael (Downton Abbey, The Spanish Princess) as Agatha and Jessica De Gouw (The Hunting, Riot, Underground) as Meghan - both with explosive secrets that could destroy everything they hold dear. Agatha (Laura Carmichael) works in the supermarket as a shelf-stacker whilst Meghan (Jessica De Gouw) is an online mummy blogger' on the rise.
Although the women live near each other, they come from different worlds - their lives on radically different trajectories. Agatha is a loner, barely subsisting above the poverty line. She's ecstatic to be pregnant, pinning all her hopes and dreams on this much longed-for miracle baby'. Yet the father of her child, Hayden (Michael Sheasby), a sailor on active duty, remains oblivious to her condition.
Meghan is a sophisticated mother-of-two who uses her website to re frame her imperfect life into a more aspirational existence. Her husband, Jack (Michael Dorman), an ambitious television sports reporter is often recognised at the pub. Despite posting enthusiastically about her pregnancy to her avid followers, including Agatha, behind closed doors this third baby is putting pressure on a strained marriage.
