TVU Networks to Showcase New IP Video Transmiion Offerings at Texas TAB Show

TVU Networks, the global technology leader in live mobile IP newsgathering solutions, will demonstrate several of its offerings at the upcoming Texas Association of Broadcasters (TAB) convention at the Renaissance Austin Hotel August 5-6. TVU Networks will exhibit in booth #45 at the show.

The company's solutions will also be represented by partner company Frontline Communications. The mobile truck design and manufacturer will exhibit at TAB (Booths 122 and 123) with TVU's MLink live video uplink transmitter operating in its Chevrolet Traverse Ka band mobile ENG vehicle.

TAB attendees visiting the TVU Networks' booth can see demonstrations of the TVU One IP newsgathering video transmitter; MLink cellular 3G/4G LTE, satellite and microwave live video uplink transmitter; TVUPack TM8200 mobile uplink backpack transmitter; and the TVU Anywhere application that turns laptops and smart devices into transmitters.

TVU One is the company's fifth-generation live mobile IP newsgathering transmitter. It delivers the same transmission resiliency, performance, picture quality and sub-second latency of a full-size backpack transmitter in a more than 90% smaller and lighter form factor. TVU One features TVU Networks' patented IS (Inverse Statmux ) transmission protocol, Smart VBR technology, and the TVU.264 video codec. It comes standard with up to six embedded LTE modems and can transmit simultaneously over up to ten connections, including cellular, microwave, MIMO microwave mesh, Ka-band and Ku-band satellite, BGAN, WiFi, and Ethernet.

MLink is a cellular 3G/4G LTE, satellite and microwave live video uplink transmitter designed for fixed deployment in vehicles or in a studio. It is one RU in size and can aggregate transmission signals from multiple transmission mediums simultaneously. The TVU MLink also uses the same proprietary IS transmission protocols as the company's award-winning TVUPack solutions to deliver a dependable picture with sub-second latency. MLink's full integration with satellite and microwave transmission systems enables transmission of a broadcast-quality HD signal, regardless of cellular network conditions.

The TVUPack TM8200 mobile uplink backpack transmitter combines TVU's proprietary IS advanced Forward Error Correction algorithm with the TVU264 H.264 encoding engine, to enable users to maximize the bandwidth available in each network connection and transmit the most stable picture possible. It supports up to eight 3G/4G LTE, microwave, satellite, WiFi and BGAN data connections. The TM8200 is also available in two alternative versions with integrated Vislink hybrid microwave and MIMO Mesh microwave.

Designed to turn a portable smart device or laptop into an instant transmitter, TVU Anywhere enables organizations to capture and transmit footage from anywhere at anytime. TVU Anywhere uses a device's 3G/4G/LTE wireless connection and WiFi, when available, to transmit live video to a TVU receiver or transceiver. It aggregates the available bandwidth to ensure a resilient transmission. Through an easy-to-use interface, the best frame rate and resolution can be selected, camera focused, and flash enabled. Key status information such as real-time transmission rate and live streaming time are also accessible on-screen.
