Company Included for Third Consecutive Year for Impact on the Streaming Media Industry
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN - Dec 17, 2014 - Edgeware, the leader in video delivery networks, today announces it has won a position on the Streaming Media Europe 101. The list, compiled by leading industry publication Streaming Media Europe, honors the companies that matter the most in online video.

"Edgewares Video Consolidation Platform (VCP) was developed specifically to provide operators with a means to remain competitive in todays rapidly evolving video landscape."
Through its VCP, Edgeware offers operators and broadcasters a single, consolidated platform that dramatically reduces the high infrastructure costs associated with the delivery of TV and video services to both set-top boxes (STBs) and multiscreen devices. By enabling operators to efficiently deliver new and current services at massive scale to all device types, without having to manage duplicate, siloed delivery networks, it reduces capex by at least 50 percent. The VCP builds on Edgewares widely deployed operator CDN solution, the D-VDN, which already provides more than 10 million viewers worldwide with best-in-class caching and streaming. The VCP also extends the solution to include state-of-the-art origin servers, called the VCP Origin.
The Streaming Media Europe 101 is just one of three major award wins for Edgeware in the past two months. In November, Edgeware earned a position in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Sweden and Fast EMEA 500 for its rapid growth over the past five years. The company also received top honors for its VCP in the Cable & Video Network Architecture category of the Fierce Innovation Awards: Telecom Edition.
The Streaming Media Europe 101 is chosen by the staff and contributors of Streaming Media Europe. More than 250 companies were individually ranked on a scale of one to five based on which have and continue to be most crucial to the industry and its advancement. The top 101 companies based on the criteria made the final list.
