The Lagard re Active tv division launches the Father Christmas Channel in Russia 1st DECEMBER 2013

Just a few days before the launch in France - on the 1st of December - of the third season of the Father Christmas Channel, the TV Division of Lagard re Active is preparing to launch the first season of Telekanal Deda Moroza (i.e. the Father Christmas Channel) in Russia, building on the success of TiJi Russia ( ) and Gulli Russia ( ).

From 1 December through 31 January 2014, over 1.5 million subscribers - i.e. all subscribers to the new IPTV package from Rostelecom, the leading provider of broadband and IPTV services in Russia - will have access to Telekanal Deda Moroza.

This new package offers children an opportunity to enjoy all-Christmas programming in Russian, including exclusive programmes from the French version - such as Chris & Mas and Santas Factory and Santas mini-workshops -, as well as a wide choice of series, feature-length films and made-for-TV movies for the whole family. There will also be programming specifically developed for young Russian viewers, featuring such traditional stories as The Snow Queen (Ledyanaya Vnuchka, 1966) and the popular animated series Smeshariki - known as Kikoriki in English-speaking countries -, an internationally licensed high-profile Russian series that promotes the values of respect, humour and mutual support.
