Renowned actress Lerato Mvelase is set to play lead in a new Mzansi Magic series called Icala.

The thirteen-part series - which premieres Monday, 9 October at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic channel 161 - is also set to star star the charismatic Bheki Sibiya who is well-known for roles in Isibaya and eHostela.

ICALA' PLOT AND CAST Icala follows the story of a man, reckless and self-centered, who thinks his death-end is near. As a result, he spills the beans, confessing to his loving, revenge-driven wife about the child he fathered with her best friend.

Plot twist? He does not die. His wife, instead of ending their marriage, decides to craft her own spine-chilling revenge on both the offenders.

Written by Chris Q Radebe (creator of Isifiso) and produced by Match Point, viewers will also see familiar faces like Sannah Mchunu (from Gomora), Kennedy Stab (Shaka iLembe), Velile Makhoba (Gomora) and meet new talent Athie Cwele.
