MONTREAL, CANADA and AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - September 10, 2015 - Haivision, a market leader in video streaming and media management solutions, announces that the Haivision Media Gateway is now available for cloud deployment in Amazon Web Services (AWS Marketplace), giving broadcasters and enterprises a low-latency and bandwidth-saving solution for connecting multiple facilities with secure HD video over public Internet connections.

Haivision will be exhibiting the cloud-based Haivision Media Gateway at IBC 2015 from September 11-15 in Amsterdam, hall 14, stand N26. In addition, Haivision will demonstrate its latest video streaming solutions in the cloud at the AWS booth 14.N29 and present at the AWS IBC Theater.

In AWS Marketplace, Haivision Media Gateway is available as an hourly pay-as-you-go service or bring-your-own-license product. Customers can deploy the solution as a preconfigured Amazon Machine Image (AMI) in the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) with just a few mouse clicks. Access to the Haivision Media Gateway in AWS Marketplace gives customers the ability to easily build scalable streaming workflows that use low cost Internet connections to distribute high quality, extreme low latency video to multiple locations. The cloud-based Haivision Media Gateway delivers an alternative to the long lead times, prohibitive costs, and scheduling challenges that accompany the use of satellite and custom networks for video distribution. By replicating streams in the cloud, the Haivision Media Gateway eliminates the need for excessive uplink bandwidth to serve multiple locations. Using Haivision's unique video transport technology, SRT, customers can transport high-performance HD video over low cost Internet connections instead of expensive dedicated custom networks or satellite.
