After 14 years of drama capped with thrills in 2021, e.tv confirmed that Rhythm City wouldn't be renewed for a new season in a bid to bring fresh content.

After the drama series' cancellation, many have been trying to connect the dots about its star-studded cast that managed to wow Mzansi for years.

Mduduzi Mabaso joined the Mzansi Magic drama series DiepCity after Rhythm City was axed. Undoubtedly, his on-screen character of Suffocate Ndlovu will go down in the history books of soap operas as one of the best villains.

Shabangu was best known for his hyena laugh, which had quickly become the signature of his on-screen character of Khulekani Ngobese.
The actor died in 2021, aged 54.
