-- Workflow Innovation Group holds data security talks in Cardiff

On the 4th October at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, the Workflow Innovation Group is holding an event that will discuss data security for broadcasters and production companies.
The event will feature prevalent and engaging discussion focusing on how media companies are handling data security to ensure the best protection possible of valuable media content. The discussion will be led by a variety of media companies, including global broadcasters, content creators, and telecoms providers.
With a large amount of media content often kept in poorly protected media libraries, media production companies are particularly susceptible to cyber attacks, commented Jon Morgan, CTO, Object Matrix. This event is about media companies sharing their experiences and methods to help each other improve data security.
The Workflow Innovation Group has previously held events in Paris and Munich, covering a range of topics. With data security a key concern for the media industry right now, and with media companies often keeping all their assets in very few locations, this event will discuss best practices to avoid security breaches.
Data security is an ongoing key concern for many media companies, especially now. This event promises to provide practical insights into how the media industry can protect their lifeblood of content, metadata and audience insights, commented Steve Sharman, Director, Hackthorn Innovation and Founder of WIG.
The event will also focus on emerging technology, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its application in the media landscape.
Niall Duffy, CMO, Virtual AI, added: AI has the potential to truly transform the media industry and we are already seeing the adoption of automation technology that will start media companies on their journey towards AI. At this event, we will explore some of those as well as discussing how AI can lead to further transformation in the future.
