ITV2's Love Island moved to 2021
ITV announced today that series seven of Love Island will move to 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kevin Lygo, Director of Television at ITV said:
We have tried every which way to make Love Island this summer but logistically its just not possible to produce it in a way that safeguards the wellbeing of everyone involved and that for us is the priority.
In normal circumstances we would be preparing very soon to travel out to the location in Mallorca to get the villa ready but clearly that's now out of the question.
We are very sorry for fans of the show but making it safely is our prime concern and Love Island will be back stronger than ever in 2021. In the meantime Love Island fans can still enjoy all six series of Love Island on BritBox.

www.loveislandshop.co.uk remains open, offering personalised water bottles and other personalised products including robes, wash bags, phone covers, baby beakers and suitcases + reusable cups. To date the official shop has sold over £12m in merchandise.
The Love Island Game, a story based narrative mobile game, is available to download in app stores. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to play now, and the new Season three of the game is being released in June 2020, with 40 more episodes of content. The game was created in partnership with the UK TV series production team and is run by UK games studio Fusebox Games. To date the game has achieved over 12m downloads in over 200 territories.
