The South African Film and Television Awards take place on 19 and 22 March, when outstanding talent in the local industry will be recognised and winners rewarded with a Golden Horn trophy. Entries for this year increased by approximately 7%, and, at a Nominee announcement event which took place on 24 February, judge Roberta Durant remarked that she felt the standard of work from South African producers and filmmakers was increasing year on year.
