
The Palm wheel 2018 closed with a balance of 90 short films presented in competition La convocatoria, enmarcada dentro del Festival de Cine de La Palma, es una verdadera prueba de rodaje extremo ya que exige a los participantes sintetizar sus ideas en apenas unos minutos de rodaje en planos de los que, al menos un 50%, deben estar grabados como m nimo en exteriores de la isla.
Despu s de 7 d as de rodaje extremo, la secci n a concurso del XII Festivalito La Palma, La Palma Rueda cierra 2018 con un balance de 90 cortos presentados por los m s de 270 cineastas que han participado en esta nueva cita con el cine vivo, extremo y en estado puro.
Todo un xito de participaci n en una convocatoria que tal y como afirm el director del Festivalito, Jos V ctor Mart n Fuentes ha duplicado el n mero de participantes con respecto a la edici n anterior y ha hecho crecer la gran familia del cine y del Festivalito superando con creces las previsiones iniciales .
Por su parte, la consejera de Turismo del Cabildo Insular, Alicia Vanoostende, felicit al director y a los cineastas por los buenos resultados cosechados en esta edici n, en la que hemos sumado esfuerzos para hacer m s grande si cabe eventos que como el Astrofest y el Festivalito La Palma han puesto el foco de atenci n en el patrimonio que el cielo y las estrellas representan para una isla como la nuestra .
Record el potencial del Festivalito, que promociona La Palma como un destino internacional y plat de cine privilegiado y que, adem s, este a o, a trav s de G-astrocine ha conjugado el s ptimo arte con las estrellas y la gastronom a, generando nuevas experiencias al alcance de residentes y visitantes.
Lleno absoluto
La Plaza de Santo Domingo de la capital palmera se convirti este fin de semana en una gran sala de proyecciones al aire libre en la que la creatividad, el cine se fusionaron con los sabores caracter sticos de la cocina palmera gracias a G-Astrocine.
El la Marat n de Cortos de esta nueva edici n de La Palma Rueda se proyectaron todas las propuestas presentadas a concurso bajo la atenta mirada del jurado, responsable de seleccionar los 20 cortos que pasan a la fase final. De ellos, seis recibir n alguno de los galardones que entregan hoy s bado, 26 de mayo, en el Teatro Circo de Marte en la ceremonia de clausura, que dar comienzo a partir de las 18:00 horas. Galardones a los que se sumar la Estrella del P blico que tal y como su propio nombre indica, conceden los espectadores.
Atr s queda una semana intensa de cine extremo que ha exigido a los participantes sintetizar sus ideas en apenas unos minutos de rodaje en planos de los que, al menos un 50%, deben estar grabados como m nimo en exteriores y con los que pueden concurrir a la secci n oficial y no oficial o a la de Cine con TICs que, en esta edici n, en la que los cielos de La Palma han tenido un especial protagonismo, llevan por nombre Lyra y Andr meda.
La d cimo tercera edici n del Festivalito La Palma se despidi el pasado s bado con un lleno absoluto en el Teatro Circo de Marte de Santa Cruz de La Palma.
Los cineastas, visiblemente satisfechos y emocionados, amantes y aficionados al cine y el p blico en general respaldaron con su presencia la ceremonia de clausura y entrega de premios del que tambi n est considerado como el Festival de Cine de las Estrellas.

Asimismo, recibieron menciones especiales Pi a de Aar n G mez por su originalidad, frescura y efectos especiales; El Intruso , de Adri n Le n Rocha por su planteamiento creativo y el uso del plano secuencia; El Chamo , por desnudarse ante la c mara y abrir la puerta a nuevos mundos en su corto Lo Vivido y lo Vivido , a Cinema Verit de Diane Malherbe por su reflexi n sobre el poder de las im genes y para el Sue o Beato de David Pantale n por su tratamiento est tico y narrativo.
