12 Days of Netflix: A Curated Guide to the Best Holiday Programming

Finding something to watch that pleases the whole family can be a hassle. That's why we've taken the guesswork out of it this holiday season. We've curated a collection of the 12 best holiday movies for you to watch and enjoy with family, friends, or just your favorite glass of wine. Some are old, some are new, and some feature multiple versions of Vanessa Hudgens, but they all bring festive cheer right into your home. Whether you choose to marathon them or spread them across the full 12 Days of Netflix, you really can't go wrong. So grab some sugar cookies and popcorn, and settle in for a holiday season full of much-needed merriment.

1. Single All the Way (new): Desperate to avoid his family's judgment about his perpetual single status, Peter (Michael Urie) convinces his best friend Nick (Philemon Chambers) to join him for the holidays and pretend that theyre now in a relationship. But when Peter's mother (Kathy Najimy) sets him up on a blind date with her handsome trainer James (Luke Macfarlane), the plan goes awry.

2. A Very Murray Christmas: Bill Murray rounds up an all-star cast for an evening of music, mischief, and barroom camaraderie in this irreverent twist on holiday variety shows.

3. The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star (new): When a priceless relic is stolen, Queen Margaret (Vanessa Hudgens) and Princess Stacy (Hudgens) enlist the help of Margaret's audacious look-alike cousin Fiona (Hudgens). She teams with a dashing, mysterious man from her past to retrieve it, rekindling the sparks of a tantalizing Christmas romance and resulting in a very unexpected switch.

4. A Boy Called Christmas (new): An ordinary young boy called Nikolas (Henry Lawfull) sets out on an extraordinary adventure into the snowy north in search of his father who is on a quest to discover the fabled village of the elves, Elfhelm. Taking with him a headstrong reindeer called Blitzen and a loyal pet mouse, Nikolas soon meets his destiny in this magical, comic and endearing story that proves nothing is impossible.

5. The Holiday: Stuck in a vicious cycle of dead-end relationships with two-timing men, Los Angeles resident Amanda (Cameron Diaz) and Londoner Iris (Kate Winslet) decide to swap homes.

6. Love Hard (new): Hopeless romantic but eternally single LA journalist Natalie (Nina Dobrev) thinks things are beginning to look up when she swipes right on Tag (Darren Barnet), a dreamy guy from the East Coast. Taking a leap of faith, she jumps on a flight to surprise her crush for the holidays, only to discover that shes been catfished by Tags childhood friend who is equally unlucky in love, Josh (Jimmy O. Yang).

7. A Castle for Christmas (new): Famed author Sophie Brown (Brooke Shields) travels to Scotland hoping to buy a small castle of her own, but the prickly owner, Duke Myles (Cary Elwes), is reluctant to sell to a foreigner. Working to find a compromise, the pair constantly butt heads, but they just may find something more than they were expecting.

8. Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square: A rich and nasty woman, Regina Fuller (Christine Baranski), returns to her small hometown after her father's death to evict everyone and sell the land to a mall developer-right before Christmas. However, after listening to stories of the local townsfolk, reconnecting with an old love, and accepting the guidance of an actual angel, Regina starts to have a change of heart.

9. Holiday Rush: A popular radio DJ (Romany Malco) loses his job just as his four spoiled kids hand over their Christmas lists. Through downsizing, the family starts to realize that having less could lead to more good than they ever imagined.

10. Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas (new): In this 30-minute special, the world's favourite sheep stars in his very own winter's tale. Shauns seasonal excitement turns to dismay when a farmhouse raid to get bigger stockings for the Flock inadvertently leads to Timmy going missing. Can Shaun get Timmy back before he becomes someone else's present?

11. Klaus: A simple act of kindness always sparks another, even in a frozen, faraway place. When Smeerensburg's new postman, Jesper (Jason Schwartzman), befriends toymaker Klaus (J.K. Simmons), their gifts melt an age-old feud and deliver a sleigh full of holiday traditions.

12. White Christmas: Two war buddies (Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye) fall for two sisters (Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen) and follow the girls to a resort owned by their former commanding officer, who is in danger of losing the place.
