Austrian Audio OC818 Mics Again at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards

Pandemic or not, Music's Biggest Night will air on March 14, 2021 to recognize excellence in music released in late 2019 and 2020. The 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards will look a little different than in past years, but just like last year, Michael Abbott, who is in charge of all things audio for the show, will be using multiple pairs of Austrian Audio OC818 microphones as overhead microphones on the artists' drum kits.

Abbott used Austrian Audio mics last year when the 62nd GRAMMY Awards were broadcast live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, and he was pleased with the experience: The engineers and myself were very impressed how the mics coverage on drums worked. I am going to spec for my projects coming up.
