Global Cinematography Institute announces that on November 14th, the first international session of EXPANDED CINEMATOGRAPHY will be held in Europe at CAMERIMAGE.

CAMERIMAGE (http://www.camerimage.pl) - is the largest film festival for the art of cinematography in the world, which runs from November 16 till November 23 in the city of Bydgoszcz, Poland.

This special session of the Expanded Cinematography will run from November 14th - November 21st, 2013. Co-Founders of Global Cinematography Institute (GCI) Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC and Yuri Neyman, ASC, along with the distinguished GCI Faculty will be present to teach classes.

The education gained at GCI, in addition to the incredible lineup of films and workshops at the festival, presents a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience for all students of cinematography. As part of enrollment, all students receive full access to the festival, and will immediately become eligible for GCI: Level 2 courses. Founded in 2011 by Directors of Photography Yuri Neyman, ASC and Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC, the Expanded Cinematography curriculum at GCI includes courses in Advanced Lighting for Feature Films, Foundations of Lighting & Composition for Cinema, Virtual Lighting & Virtual Cinematography, Lighting Craft & Technology, Cinematography for Video Games, Previsualization, Digital Cinematography & Optics, Image Management, The History of Cinematography & Photography, Career Management, Cinematography for Independent Films and more.

In the near future cinematographers must be prepared to expand their leading roles in live and virtual cinematography. Yuri Neyman, ASC and Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC have created a special educational program that combines classic and virtual cinematography to become what is known as Expanded Cinematography . With the ever-advancing creative and technological approaches to narrative and visual storytelling, GCI is developing new methods for educating current and future professionals in the fields of imagery.
