Fujifilm appoint new QA/RA Manager

Fujifilm is a pioneer in diagnostic imaging and information systems for healthcare facilities, with a range of constantly evolving clinically proven products and technologies designed to assist medical professionals perform more efficiently and effectively. The company are pleased to announce the appointment of Sharon Alexander as their new QA/RA Manager.

Sharon has been employed in a variety of senior Quality roles across several industries including medical devices, and has previously held positions as Auditor/Technical File Reviewer for Intertek, Quality Section Head for Covidien, and Quality Manager for Sunlight Clinical Solutions.

Sharon joins Fujifilm with a wealth of experience, including EN ISO 13485, EN ISO 14971, ISO 9001 and a wide range of Harmonised Standards, as well as MDD 93/42/EEC, FDA, Health Canada and TGA regulations. She is also an experienced auditor and manager of external audits including Notified Body, Regulatory and customer audits.

Commenting on the new appointment, Mark van Rossum, General Manager of Fujifilm said: "Having previously held positions in the medical devices industry, Sharon is well placed to assist Fujifilm with our QA/RA activities. Sharon brings enthusiasm to the role and is sure to be a great asset to us. Her work both in industry and for a major UK Notified Body means Sharon has an excellent understanding of the medical devices arena as a whole which is a perfect fit for Fujifilm."

Sharon is currently undertaking the Chartered Quality Institute's Diploma in Quality, and enjoys travelling, cooking for friends & family, reading and listening to a variety of music in her spare time.
