The 0 Annual Annie Award Noms are out and HoC couldn t be happier!

Among the leading animated films this year was Blue Sky's, Epic, showing nominations in several individual categories including; Best Animated Effects, Character Animation, Production Design, Music and Best Director going to Chris Wedge.

House of Cool is buzzing with excitement at the nods of recognition for our friends at Blue Sky. Thank you for including the HoC crew in the early development of such a beautiful story!

House of Cool began developing this fantastical tale in 2006, working closely with the team at Blue Sky to help Director Chris Wedge envision his story. Our team of talented artists lead by Ricardo Curtis, brought the story to life with compelling emotional character development, riveting action sequences and hilarious comedic moments.

It has been an honor to work alongside the talents of Chris Wedge.

We wish him the best of luck at the 41st Annual Annie Awards presented by the International Animated Film Society. He's got our vote!

Gravity Falls nominated for Best animated TV/Broadcast production

Close to our hearts is the nomination of Disney's animated tv series Gravity Falls, up for Best animated TV/broadcast production for children's audience. This fan and critic favorite spent its early days at HoC as Disney entrusted our team to create the pilot for the series that boasted some of Disney's highest pilot ratings to date. During the initial pre-production, director Alex Hirsch set up shop in our Toronto based studio working closely with our preproduction and production teams to build a clever and somewhat strange, mystery adventure story. The solid story foundation has since garnered a strong fan base and has been renewed for a second season.

We wish Disney and the entire Gravity Falls team the best of luck at the Annie's.
