The WeVideo team just got back from spending 4 days in the lovely city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to participate at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference and Expo! We had the opportunity to connect with hundreds of educators and industry representatives to talk about whats new in EdTech.
We were so impressed by the booths at ISTE did you know that one company, iSchool Initiative, even brought their Digital Learning Revolution Tour Bus directly to the exhibitor room? McGraw-Hill Education also blew me away with their bright red booth fully equipped with tablets and an energetic speaker ready to inform everyone about the neat initiatives they are bringing to the EdTech table.
For a sweet afternoon pick-me-up I had the chance to swing by the SRG Technology booth to witness them giving away milkshakes to people eager to learn more about Blender (I am sensing a play-on-words here). Last but not least, of course, the Google booth was frequented by quite a few! They had a full Teaching Theater set up where they talked about all sorts of EdTech, including digital storytelling.
The buzz from everyone at ISTE was very positive. Everyone we spoke with expressed how much they were enjoying ISTE, and so many people were wearing ISTE spirit wear of some kind. The most popular accessories of the week were the ribbons (note to self: have WeVideo make ribbons for next year). Red, blue, white, brown, yellow, rainbow some with ribbons down to their toes!

Seeing everyone so passionate about EdTech and finding new innovative ways to transform their classroom was refreshing. Not only did we get to forge new connections, we re-connected with some of our current users and got to hear feedback on how they are using WeVideo for Education in the classroom!
