(Nasdaq:DTSI), a leader in high-definition audio solutions and audio enhancement technologies, announced today that it has teamed up with Internet Video Archive (IVA), the worlds leading online movie trailer service, to provide consumers access to the latest cinematic movie trailers in immersive DTS-HD surround sound. By encoding IVAs movie trailer library in the DTS-HD codec, IVA will be able to provide a rich, immersive, cinematic surround sound experience to customers streaming to the latest game consoles connected to a home theater system, or provide an immersive DTS Headphone:X experience to consumers streaming to a DTS Headphone:X equipped mobile device.
The streaming profile of DTS-HD is a high performance discrete multi-channel audio codec designed to enable streaming services to deliver content to consumers in immersive, high-quality 5.1 surround sound.
