Annette Malone appointed as Chief People Officer RT

RT has today announced that Annette Malone has been appointed to the role of Chief People Officer, RT following a public competition.

As Chief People Officer, Annette will continue the important work of RT 's Director of Human Resources, Eimear Cusack and the HR team to drive transformation across the organisation through innovative HR Practices.

Annette Malone has been RT 's Head of Human Resources Audio and Video (formerly Content) since 2018 and was previously Head of Human Resources - RT Television, a role she held from 2012 - 2018 and Head of Human Resources - RT Radio from 2010 2012.

Commenting on the appointment, RT Director-General, Kevin Bakhurst said: Annette brings extensive and valuable experience to the role of Chief People Officer, both through the various senior HR positions she has held across RT since 2007, and in previous roles. In all of these roles, Annette has demonstrated great strategic and collaborative skills as well as great expertise in the area of employee/industrial relations. She also has comprehensive knowledge of employment law, and wide experience of labour relations frameworks. All of this will be very helpful in the Chief People Officer role along with Annette's strong communication, people, and team leadership skills. I look forward to Annette joining RT 's Leadership Team and to working with her in this important role.

Annette will begin the role of Chief People Officer on Monday 30th March. As Chief People Officer, she will be part of RT 's Leadership Team.
