Lord St John of Bletso appointed President of GSFA
Tuesday 9th June 2015
Tuesday 26 May 2015: Two key figures in the field of international business and global environmental policy will be heading up tve's 2015 awards for green business communications. Global business astrategist, Lord St John of Bletso is taking on the role of President of the tve Global Sustainability Film Awards 2015. Anthony St John is an international expert in corporate governance, finance and legal due diligence and has been an active supporter of tve for more than two decades.
Nick Nuttall, Head of Communications and Outreach, and spokesperson for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will chair the Awards' panel of judges.
Full details on how to enter the Awards are available on the website www.tve.org/awards The Awards encourage best-practice companies to share innovative sustainability initiatives through the powerful medium of film. Winners will be announced at an Awards ceremony and Gala dinner at BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) in London's Piccadilly on 23 November 2015. The event will be filmed and broadcast across Europe by tve's media partner Propeller TV.
Cheryl Campbell, executive director of tve comments: This year all eyes will be on sustainable development and climate change. Our intention is that these Awards, now in their fourth year, and with Lord St John of Bletso as President, and Nick Nuttall as Chair of Judges, will inspire businesses to fulfil their potential in being key drivers of a more sustainable future.'
Lord St John of Bletso comments: Awards like these are changing the pattern of how we do business. They are focusing companies' minds on how they are doing business, and showing that doing business sustainably is not just good for the planet and people, it is also good for the profit margin.'
