Oxford Scientific Films' Secret Life of strand set to return to ITV

ITV has commissioned three brand new episodes from Oxford Scientific Films for their critically-acclaimed Secret Life of strand.

Secret Life of Twins, 1 x 60', will open doors into this fascinating world, by meeting different pairs of extraordinary identical twins, from those separated at birth who are so similar that they have an uncanny bond, to those with such surprising differences they raise profound questions about the nature of twins. Remarkable stories, including the inseparable, octogenarian DJs and a twin who risked his own life to save his brother, cast a light not only on what it means to be a twin, but also on what it means to be human.

Secret Life of Me (2 x 60') will follow the human body on the incredible journey it takes through the two great epochs of life: Growing Up and Growing Old. Growing Up will look at the remarkable metamorphosis from childhood to early adulthood, while Growing Old will explore a time when the hard work really begins as the human body must fight to keep everything running. Both of these films will continue the Secret Life' brand by using specialist photography to reveal the beauty of the human body as it ages, and tell remarkable human stories to illustrate the larger themes of Growing Up and Growing Old.

The programmes are commissioned for ITV by Katy Thorogood and Andrew O'Connell, Commissioning Editors, Factual, along with Richard Klein, Director of Factual. The executive producers are Caroline Hawkins and Alice Keens-Soper. The Series Producer is Luke Wiles.

The programmes are set to air in 2015. The films will be distributed internationally by BBC Worldwide.

The Secret Life of brand currently includes popular recent ITV documentaries, Secret Life of Babies, Secret Life of Cats and Secret Life of Dogs.
