95.7 That Station Hits Stride with New Interviews, Studio Sessions and Special Features

CBCs newest radio station, 95.7 FM That Station, has quickly become a fixture in the Triangle and beyond. The weekly lineup is fast becoming packed with special features, in addition to all the roots, Americana, country, rock, folk, bluegrass and rhythm and blues music you wont hear anywhere else.

That Old North State Radio Hour with David Menconi launched on August 1, 2018, and will return each Wednesday at 7pm. The News & Observer music critic will be picking his own music and providing in-depth behind the music content heard only on 95.7 That Station.

Another new show, Blues Kitchen, debuted August 2. The hour of blues returns each Thursday at 7pm, hosted by That Stations Sean McHugh and presented by Blue Note Grill.

In mid-July the Chatham Rabbits debuted as That Stations first in-studio feature known as Studio J Sessions. The local duo chatted with That Stations Kristen Kokkelenberg, playing multiple songs and talking about their new album.

That Station also hosted national recording act Dispatch live in Studio J on Friday, July 27, before the band headlined at the Red Hat Amphitheatre in downtown Raleigh that night.

Then, in another first, That Station carried Cool John Fergusons show live on the radio from the Bullpen in downtown Durham that same night.

And upcoming 95.7 That Station is the official media sponsor of the Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance, set for October 4-7, 2018. Tune in to That Station for more from the bands and the planners on the Road to Shakori.
