The I Create Anywhere Project is to Encourage the Introduction of Modern and Flexible Working Environments in Slovenia. Ljubljana, 13 February - Microsoft Slovenia and Zavod Ypsilon together with partners Telekom Slovenije, and the Ljubljana municipality introduced an initiative to raise awareness on the advantages and possibilities of modern forms of work. The I Create Anywhere initiative for increased productivity and employee satisfaction, as well as more successful operations and the increased competitiveness of the Slovenian economy. On 21 March, 2013, the first day of spring, the initiative will hold its main event, the Create Anywhere Day.

Microsoft Slovenia and Zavod Ypsilon together with partners Telekom Slovenije, and Ljubljana municipality introduced their new initiative Ustvarjam kjerkoli (I Create Anywhere) (www.ustvarjamkjerkoli.org). With their new initiative, they want to increase awareness in Slovenia about the benefits that modern and flexible forms of work like mobile work, working from home or teleworking, have for employees, the company, and the environment. Experience from organizations who have used modern information technology to foster a more innovative work environment show that this can help lighten the burden of coordinating personal and professional obligations, increase satisfaction, reduce stress and unexpected employee absence, and can also help reduce costs, while increasing productivity, employee satisfaction, and business success. The initiative's main event will be on 21 March, when they will hold the Create Anywhere Day. The creators are inviting individuals, companies, and venues which support or already make it possible to create anywhere to register at the website and become a supporter of this initiative, helping to redesign the way we work in Slovenia.

Microsoft Slovenija started the I Create Anywhere initiative because we are convinced that in the future the most successful organizations will be the ones that offer their employees more innovative and flexible working environments. New more modern ways of working, without which advanced IT would not exist, come with several advantages, both for employees and companies, as well as entire society. They lay the foundation for greater employee satisfaction, as well as for more effective and environmentally friendly operations. Making a transition to greater flexibility is therefore an important step for increasing the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy.

I Create Anywhere

Microsoft Slovenia and Zavod Ypsilon together with partners Telekom Slovenije, and Ljubljana municipality introduced their new initiative Ustvarjam kjerkoli (I Create Anywhere). It will be modeled on other projects from abroad (Home Office Day, AnywhereWorking, and The Anywhere Organisation), and aims to spark a broader debate in Slovenia about the ways in which technological innovations and new organizational and managerial tactics can help Slovenia transform its work environments and work culture to become more competitive and environmentally friendly. Today, mobile computing devices, like smartphones, laptops, and tablets, as well as cloud computing services like Office 365, increase users' productivity, not just in the office, but also at home, on the road, in waiting rooms, in the park simply put anytime and anywhere.

Today, when unemployment among young people is a huge challenge, we are glad to be co-founding the I Create Anywhere initiative. I am convinced that this will have a positive influence on employing young people Generation Y is known for wanting a somewhat different job, said iga Vavpoti, Zavod Ypsilon's Program Director. Its creators are inviting individuals, companies, organizations, and venues which support or already make it possible to work anywhere to register at www.ustvarjamkjerkoli.org and become a supporter of this initiative, helping to redesign the way we work in Slovenia. This way we can also make Slovenia more connected, together contributing to increased satisfaction and productivity of individuals, companies, and the economy itself.

Modern technology is the driving force behind our corporate and societal changes, not just behind the economy. That brings with it more opportunities for interactivity, collaboration, creativity, and effectiveness. At the same time that means that each individual can decide how, when, and where they will tackle a new task, not just at work or at home, but anywhere. The mobility afforded us by modern technology does not just save us time, money, and negative effects on the environment, but especially gives us the freedom to make decisions about our time and activities, said Rudolf Skobe, President of the Management Board of Telekom Slovenije, in highlighting the meaning of mobility at work.
