Ma reading activity held in Haishu District

The "firefly book exchange meeting" and the book collection sharing meeting, hosted by the Publicity Department of Haishu District Party Committee, were held on April 23, the World Reading Day. The meetings attracted a lot of citizens fond of reading, and marked the beginning of the 2017 "reading in Haishu" mass reading activity.

The "firefly book exchange" meeting has been held for four years, and this years session attracted more readers with its special "blind choosing" program. The book exchange meeting would help to consolidate the cultural atmosphere of Ningbo, said a Doctor Zhou from Ninghai County, who attended the activity together with some friends.

At the book collection sharing meeting, eight readers shared their reading experience with the attendees. Among others, the reading program initiated by Li Hao, head of the Moonlake Poem Club, aims to inherit and spread the "red dowry culture"; the recitation class by Ma Ying, head of Ningbo Recitation Association, aims to spread the essence of the traditional Chinese culture in the form of recitation; and Zhu Yiqi, founder of Ningbo Senior Life Net, presented his habit of reading at least for one hour per day in the past 20 years.

With the theme of "reading, happiness and intelligence", the mass reading season program this year will launch over 20 reading-related activities.
