CESSON-SEVIGNE, Francia - 10 de junio, 2021 - Broadpeak , proveedor l der de Content Delivery Network (CDN) y soluciones de video por streaming para proveedores de contenidos y operadores de TV paga de todo el mundo, anunci hoy que Megacable, uno de los mayores proveedores de triple play en M xico, ha optimizado la distribuci n de su servicio de streaming Xview con las soluciones de Broadpeak.
Usando el CDN y el nanoCDN multicast ABR de Broadpeak, Megacable puede entregar contenido en vivo, VOD, timeshift y catch-up TV, as como tambi n ofertas de TV Premium en el televisor y en cualquier otro dispositivo, asegurando una calidad de experiencia (QoE) superior para millones de espectadores en simult neo, mientras se reducen los costos de distribuci n.
Nuestro servicio Xview est creciendo, y para garantizar una experiencia de streaming excepcional a los espectadores, necesit bamos una soluci n de CDN robusta y de alto rendimiento , dijo Gerardo Seifert, Chief Marketing Officer en Megacable. Con el multicast ABR, ya no tenemos que preocuparnos por los picos impredecibles de tr fico que impactan en la calidad de streaming, y logramos unificar exitosamente la entrega de video en cualquier pantalla. Con el objetivo de simplificar el streaming de video, Megacable evolucion de un IPTV h brido y un modelo de distribuci n broadcast, a un sistema totalmente OTT con bitrate adaptativo. El servicio Xview , con m s de 250 canales entregados en formato de streaming exclusivamente, est disponible en los set-top-boxes (STBs) de Android TV, que se conectan principalmente a trav s de WiFi, y en una app para dispositivos m viles, garantizando a los suscriptores una experiencia de streaming consistente.
La soluci n de nanoCDN multicast ABR de Broadpeak se apoya en un agente de software instalado dentro de ambos STBs y terminales pticas de red que reducen dram ticamente los costos y remueven los picos de tr fico unicast en la red. nanoCDN preserva una latencia similar al broadcast para eventos en vivo y retransmite autom ticamente los paquetes perdidos para garantizar la mayor QoE posible para los suscriptores, incluso cuando el STB est conectado v a WiFi.
Megacable tambi n conf a en una completa soluci n de estad sticas de Broadpeak para obtener informaci n sobre c mo los suscriptores experimentan el servicio y c mo se desempe a el sistema de distribuci n. Para cada sesi n de streaming, esta herramienta supervisa la QoE de los suscriptores, proveyendo informaci n cr tica tal como los bitrates que son transmitidos y los switches de capas.
Megacable ha integrado el CDN de Broadpeak, nanoCDN, y sus soluciones de estad sticas con sistemas de terceros de Viacces-Orca, Dotscreen, Technicolor y ZTE, entre otros.
