Lightware, an industry leader in signal management, is helping to elevate the Google Meet experience with the introduction of an integration with Taurus UCX. This advancement brings full compatibility between Google Meet environments and Lightware's Taurus UCX-4x2 and UCX-4x3 products, delivering unified Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) functionality. This partnership between Lightware and Google enables organizations to create meeting spaces that are more flexible, streamlined, and effortless for users.

Our collaboration with Google marks a major step forward in simplifying hybrid meeting experiences, said Gergely Vida, CEO of Lightware. With the Taurus UCX, organizations can now enjoy seamless transitions between Google Meet and BYOD sessions without additional setup.

The Taurus UCX connects to the Google Chromebox via a simple, reliable and secure USB link. When the room is not in an active call, any connected laptop can use the room's display, camera, and peripherals, enabling BYOD mode for easy collaboration.

During an active Google Meet call, the Chromebox maintains control of all peripherals to ensure the consistent and dependable meeting performance users expect from Google Workspace. The Taurus UCX is also recognized as a certified device in the Google Admin Console, making management and configuration straightforward for administrators.

Currently, the Lightware UCX-4x2-HC40, UCX-4x2-HC40D, UCX-4x3-HC40, and UCX-4x3-HC40BD are compatible with Google Meet with additional support for HC60 variants set to be available by the end of Q1 2026.

Because the Taurus connects to Google Meet hardware via USB, it requires no additional network connection, simplifying installation. When it comes to administration, the Taurus UCX can be managed and monitored through Google Admin Console, allowing all devices to be supervised in one place.
