Hornets Tech is bringing its distinctive brand of friendly yet authoritative wisdom to MPTS for the first time this year. Led by industry expert Alistair Horne, the company specialises in developing practical solutions to real-world, live broadcast and production requirements, including wireless camera systems and IP roll-out.

Hornets Tech is based on three principles to make productions better, faster and more secure. It provides sales, support and advice on key products, by understanding what the production is trying to achieve and pulling together precisely the technology to achieve it. Two of the major vendors in the Hornets Tech portfolio are SipRadius and Domo Broadcast Systems. SipRadius has an all-embracing IP connectivity ecosystem, incorporating the very best in security, resilience and low latency. We play a vital role here, immersing ourselves into our client's requirements and translating that into the appropriate solutions of the SipRadius product line, further explained Alistair. By working closely with customer and partner development engineers, we turn really complex technology into a cost-effective element in a production workflow.

Domo Broadcast is a leader in RF cameras and IP mesh technologies, and again, the Hornets Tech role is to match requirements to technologies. There is pressure in the market from wireless camera systems based on cellular connections, but they are always going to be susceptible to network congestion. When the pictures absolutely have to be perfect and on time, then a dedicated COFDM platform is the only way to go, Alistair confirmed.
