Sacramento Kings, Panasonic Announce NBA s First-Ever 4K/UHD Center-Hung Videoboard

The Sacramento Kings and Panasonic Enterprise Solutions announced that the NBA's first-ever 4K/Ultra HD center-hung videoboard will premiere at Golden 1 Center, the world-class indoor sports and entertainment venue scheduled to open next October in downtown Sacramento.

Golden 1 Center, slated to open in October, will feature a 6,100-sq.-ft. 4K/Ultra HD center-hung videoboard.

Totaling more than 6,100 sq. ft., the videoboard will feature the largest screens in the league and is more than seven times larger than the KingsVision in the team's current home, Sleep Train Arena. The four-screen display will include two sideline screens that are more than five times larger than the screens currently in use. Deploying the latest in LED technology, with more than 32 million pixels across the four screens, it will offer fans crystal-clear views from anywhere in the arena, along with immediate replays in 4K/UHD, four times 1080 HD resolution. Spanning nearly baseline to baseline, the 84-ft.-long videoboard will be longer than the average 18-wheeler. The ribbon featured atop the videoboard will be 6 ft. 3 in., and the main screens will be more than 44 ft. wide and more than 24 ft. tall.

Two custom LED screens, standing more than 25 ft. tall, will welcome fans entering through the arena's main doors, featuring fan-generated content, event information, and more.

600-plus HD video displays will be showcased throughout Golden 1 Center concourses, clubs, and suites so that fans don't miss a second of the action on the court.

More than 1,500 ft. of LED ribbon boards in the arena bowl will provide real-time information, including advanced statistics and aggregated social-media content.
