The wait is almost over. The castle gates are about to reopen and a new group of strangers will enter the ultimate game of trust and deception. The Traitors Ireland returns to RT One and RT Player, Sunday August 30 where every conversation is a clue, every alliance is fragile and every smile could hide a Traitor.

Siobh n McSweeney returns as host, bringing her wit, theatrical flair and a wardrobe guaranteed to turn heads as she welcomes players to the Castle, with every entrance promising as much drama as the game itself.

Once again, Slane Castle provides the perfect setting for deception and skullduggery of the highest order. Hidden among the players, a select few will be secretly chosen as Traitors, while the rest become Faithfuls. From that moment on, no one is above suspicion. Allies become potential threats as suspicions run high, The Traitors could be hiding in the shadows, or worse, in plain sight.

The players will compete in challenges to win money for the prize pot of up to 50,000 while attempting to determine who among them might betray their trust. Murderous behavior in the dead of night leads to heated discussions at the Round Table and the banishment of a potentially innocent party.

Back to dissect all the cloaked chaos, Kevin McGahern will host The Traitors Ireland Uncloaked. Joined by celebrity guests and those who have been murdered or banished, all the behind-the-scenes secrets will be spilled as they react and analyse the night's events.

Filmed in RT Limerick, each episode will feature exclusive interviews and unseen footage. The Traitors Ireland Uncloaked airs directly after The Traitors Ireland on RT One and RT Player.
