Neue Fahrwerkstechnologie von Schaeffler und Continental
Schaeffler bringt elektromechanischen Wankstabilisator in Serie
Mit der Serienfertigung eines elektromechanischen Wankstabilisators schl gt Schaeffler ein neues Kapitel in der Fahrwerktechnik auf. Das innovative System ersetzt die bislang blichen hydraulischen Stabilisatoren, die in Kurven oder bei schnellen Ausweichman vern die Wankbewegungen des Fahrzeugaufbaus auf ein Minimum reduzieren. Durch diese Technik ist es ebenfalls m glich ein etwaiges Aufschaukeln des Fahrzeuges wirkungsvoll zu verhindern. Die nun bei Schaeffler vorgestellte Ausf hrung als elektromechanisches System tr gt dazu bei, Kraftstoffverbrauch und Emissionen zu reduzieren und die Fahrzeugmontage zu vereinfachen. berdies k nnen zus tzliche Funktionen realisiert werden. M glich wird diese wegweisende Technologie auch durch anspruchsvolle regelungstechnische L sungen von Continental. Von dem Spezialisten stammt die ECU (Electronic Control Unit), die Motorsteuerung sowie die Software-Plattform.
Prof. Peter Gutzmer, Vorstand Technologie bei Schaeffler, sagte: Mit dem weltweit ersten elektromechanischen Wankstabilisator erweitert Schaeffler sein Angebot elektromechanischer Aktuatoren, die f r das Automobil signifikante Beitr ge in puncto Leistungsf higkeit und Effizienz leisten .
Mit unserer Steuerungselektronik helfen wir den klassischen Zielkonflikt zwischen Komfort und Handling bei der Fahrwerksauslegung zu entsch rfen. Wankbewegungen des Fahrzeugs bei Kurvenfahrt werden vermindert und dabei gleichzeitig die Fahrsicherheit, die Fahrdynamik und der Fahrkomfort erh ht , erg nzte Felix Bietenbeck, Leiter des Gesch ftsbereichs Vehicle Dynamics in der Continental Division Chassis & Safety.
F r den Serienanlauf des neuen Systems hat Schaeffler an seinem Standort Schweinfurt komplett neue Fertigungseinrichtungen aufgebaut und dabei gezielt das fertigungstechnische Know-how der Gruppe genutzt. Die einzelnen Anlagen sind modular ausgelegt. Dadurch k nnen weitere Serienanl ufe in den kommenden Jahren problemlos integriert werden. Dies gilt ebenso f r k nftige Generationen dieser Technologie.
Aktive Anpassung an jede Fahrsituation
Beim ersten Serieneinsatz in einer Oberklasse-Limousine wird der elektromechanische Wankstabilisator zum Beispiel so in den Systemverbund des Fahrzeugs integriert, dass er nicht nur die Fahrstabilit t in der Kurve, sondern auch den Fahrkomfort auf gerader Strecke erh ht. M glich wird dies durch eine permanente Kamera berwachung der Fahrbahn vor dem Fahrzeug. Werden vorausliegende Unebenheiten wie zum Beispiel ein Kanaldeckel erkannt, hebt das System das entsprechende Rad kurzzeitig an und erlaubt so ein komfortables Fahren mit nahezu vollst ndiger Vermeidung von Ersch tterungen der Karosserie.
Moderne Wankstabilisatoren adaptieren das Fahrwerk an jede Fahrsituation. Dazu dienen in erster Linie aktive Stabilisatoren mit - bislang hydraulisch bet tigten - Schwenkmotoren. Diese Motoren verdrehen die beiden Stabilisatorh lften gegeneinander und erzeugen so ein Torsionsmoment, das stabilisierend auf den Fahrzeugaufbau einwirkt. Obwohl die Wankstabilisierung in vielen Fahrsituationen wie Geradeausfahrten auf gut ausgebauten Stra en nicht eingreifen muss, erfordert die hydraulische Ausf hrung auch f r den Stand-by-Betrieb stetig Energie: Um den Betriebsdruck des Hydrauliksystems aufrechtzuerhalten, ist eine kontinuierliche Pumpleistung erforderlich. Dies f hrt zu einem permanenten Energieverlust.
Anders das elektromechanische System: Aus der Erfahrung, dass sich hydraulische Systeme durch elektrische effizient ersetzen lassen, entwickelte Schaeffler eine L sung, die bedarfsgerecht die stabilisierenden Momente einstellt, ohne daf r dauerhaft Energie bereitstellen zu m ssen. Der Schl ssel hierzu ist der Elektromotor, der nur dann Leistung aufnimmt, wenn sich der Schwenkaktor verdreht und dabei ein Moment aufbaut. Um das Moment zu halten, m ssen lediglich die relativ geringen elektrischen Widerstandsverluste ausgeglichen werden.
Zur Steigerung des Komforts verf gt die Schaeffler-L sung dar ber hinaus ber ein innovatives Entkopplungselement. Damit k nnen einseitig auftretende St rungen in der Fahrbahn absorbiert werden. Die bertragung von Impulsen auf die Karosserie wird dadurch reduziert oder sogar komplett verhindert.
Elektromechanische Fahrwerkregelsysteme sind nur ein Entwicklungsansatz f r die Gestaltung der Mobilit t, beziehungsweise des Fahrwerks der Zukunft. Prof. Peter Gutzmer: bergeordnete Anforderungen zur CO2-Reduzierung erfordern auch in der Fahrwerktechnik, die Potenziale von Leichtbau, Reibungsreduzierung und effizienteren Aktuatoren zu nutzen. Gleichzeitig gilt es, an L sungen zu arbeiten, die den Komfort noch weiter steigern, weil die Fahrzeuginsassen beim automatisierten Fahren sensitiver auf Fahrzeugbewegungen reagieren werden. In letzter Konsequenz bedeutet dies f r Zulieferer wie Schaeffler und Continental, das Fahrwerk der Zukunft systemisch mit dem Antrieb gemeinsam zu betrachten und zu entwickeln.
