HLW International Offers Years of Expertise, Rich History to Sports Industry

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome HLW International as a mobile/integrator sponsor. In continuous practice since 1885, the architectural and engineering firm has a history of designing buildings and interiors to support technical and creative media workplaces.

The company's contributions to major sports networks are diverse and include projects as small as single control rooms and as large as buildings and interior fit outs for new, multimillion-dollar broadcast facilities. HLW's objective is to help deliver a high quality consumer sports experience.

Managing Partner John Gering and Broadcast Design Director Keith Hanadel lead HLW's efforts to develop increasingly innovative and powerful design solutions for broadcast-media projects.

Says Hanadel, HLW is pleased to support the SVG mission of advancing the quality of sports content and journalism production through facilitating the sharing of knowledge, information, and experience between broadcast professionals and the manufacturers and developers, with the goal of advancing the overall consumer sports experience.

With offices in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Shanghai, HLW's diverse staff has grown to almost 200. The firm's projects vary in size and scope, from feasibility studies and strategic-planning assignments to transformative modernizations and major, large scale new buildings.

The Metropolitan Telephone Building in New York, designed in 1886 for Alexander Graham Bell, was the firm's first project. Subsequent projects included the Barclay Vesey Building (now the Verizon Building) and the Western Union Building.
