
The jury for the awards I Panorama meets to assess nominations Nacho Ben tez, Chema Casaos, Andr s D az, Jos Mar a Garc a-Lastra, Eladio Guti rrez, Francisco Mench n, Tomas Nielsen, Javier Polo, Mar a Valcarce, Ana Sanz y Antonio Castillo, conforman el jurado de los I Premios Panorama a la excelencia en la industria audiovisual.
The jury of the I Awards overview a la excelencia en la industria audiovisual, convocados por Panorama Audiovisual, se reuni anoche en el Hotel Palacio de San Mart n, en Madrid, para valorar las candidaturas que pasaron el primer corte fruto de la votaci n de los lectores a trav s de Internet. En esta segunda fase, ha sido un jurado compuesto por once destacados profesionales del sector los que en votaci n secreta, ante el notario del Illtre. Colegio Notarial de Madrid, Javier Lucas y Cadenas, ha puesto nombre a los ganadores.
En esta edici n, han participado como miembros del jurado: Nacho Ben tez, director de fotograf a; Chema Casaos, director de ITSS & Media en Ericsson Iberia; Andr s D az, director de ingenier a de Mediaset Espa a; Jos Mar a Garc a-Lastra, director de desarrollo de negocio de Cristaliza; Eladio Guti rrez, socio-director de la consultora EGM; Francisco Mench n, presidente del grupo Eurocom; Tomas Nielsen, director general de Datos Media; Javier Polo, director de de ingenier a y operaciones de la Uni n Europea de Radiodifusi n (UER); Mar a Valcarce, directora de BIT Broadcast 2014; Ana Sanz, directora de Digital AV y Antonio Castillo, director de Panorama Audiovisual.
Los expertos han evaluado los aspectos relevantes de cada una de las candidaturas que engloban empresas, instalaciones, soluciones para captaci n, almacenamiento, gesti n de media, grafismo, estudio, emisi n, audio, postproducci n, as como la ejecuci n t cnica en producciones radiof nicas, televisivas, cinematogr ficas y publicitarias.
Sin duda, la total transparencia en todo el proceso de votaci n as como la reconocida cualificaci n profesional de los miembros del jurado ya han convertido a estos galardones en un claro referente para nuestra industria.
Failure of the jury and awards
El fallo del jurado se dar a conocer en la gala de entrega de premios que tendr lugar el 20 de mayo de 2014, a las 19.15 horas, en el Auditorio Sur de Feria de Madrid (IFEMA), coincidiendo con la apertura del Sal n Internacional de la Tecnolog a Audiovisual (BIT Broadcast 2014). Junto a los trece galardones en liza, durante la ceremonia se entregar a Manolo Romero el Premio a Toda una Vida, en reconocimiento a su larga trayectoria profesional en la que ha dedicado casi medio siglo al despliegue t cnico de los Juegos Ol mpicos desde M xico 68, tanto en las citas ol mpicas de verano como de invierno.
Ingeniero de Telecomunicaci n por la Universidad Polit cnica de Madrid, inicia su carrera en la Direcci n T cnica de TVE en 1965. Muy pronto trabaj en eventos deportivos internacionales como los JJ.OO. de M xico del 68, formando parte del grupo operativo de la UER/EBU. En el Mundial de F tbol de Espa a, en 1982, fue el m ximo responsable t cnico, cuyo xito indiscutible le catapult para trabajar con la cadena estadounidense ABC como responsable de la Direcci n de Operaciones Europeas con sede en Par s.
Posteriormente fue nombrado Gerente de Operaciones Internacionales de la ABC para los Juegos de Los ngeles 84. Por este trabajo fue distinguido con el Premio Emmy a la mejor cobertura de televisi n para deportes. La vuelta a Europa le situ al frente del Operativo de los JJ.OO. en Barcelona 92, tras lo cual su peregrinaje por todo el mundo le ha llevado, entre otros muchos puestos, a ser el m ximo responsable del Mundial de EE.UU. del 94, de los JJ.OO. en Atlanta (1996), (Sydney 2000), Atenas (2004), Pek n (2008), Londres (2012), as como en otros juegos ol mpicos de invierno.
Desde su creaci n en 2003, asumi la direcci n general de Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), la compa a formada por el Comit Ol mpico Internacional (COI) para la cobertura televisiva de los Juegos Ol mpicos, dejando voluntariamente la primera l nea ejecutiva a finales de 2012 para acceder a la vicepresidencia de la compa a. En la actualidad es Consejero para televisi n del COI, de varias federaciones internacionales de diferentes deportes, vicepresidente de OBS y presidente de ISB (International Sport Broadcasting).
