PBS Names Eric Stith Vice President, Finance Planning & Analysis

ARLINGTON, VA; January 2, 2018 - Eric Stith today joined PBS as Vice President, Finance Planning & Analysis. Reporting to PBS Chief Financial Officer Tom Tardivo, Stith will lead the organization's financial planning and analysis activities. This includes oversight of the annual planning process that aligns the budget with PBS' strategic goals. Stith brings to PBS more than 15 years of leadership experience in financial analysis, business strategy and planning.

Eric's extensive experience within the media industry coupled with his financial savvy and his strong leadership skills make him an excellent choice for this critical position.

Stith joins PBS from financial advisory firm Geller & Company where he was Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis for the Washington, D.C.-based division of a privately held global technology firm. Among his responsibilities, Stith worked closely with senior leadership to provide advice on business strategies and the alignment of operational goals. In addition, he oversaw financial planning and analysis activities and led the creation and assessment of the budget, forecasts and business plan performance.

Prior to Geller & Company, Stith spent more than four years as Director, Financial Planning & Analysis for The Washington Post where he led the team responsible for financial planning and analysis; oversaw the company's annual revenue, expense and operating budgets; and worked closely with Post leadership to facilitate strategic planning. Earlier, Stith served as Director of Finance for Gannett Government Media (now Sightline Media Group) where he reported to the CEO and served as a member of the military news organization's management committee. He started his career at USA TODAY where he held rising financial roles.

Stith received his MBA from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and holds a B.S. in Finance from Frostburg State University.
