Outside Broadcast Lighting and Maintenance Manager

Manage resources, facilities, finance, and equipment of Lighting & Maintenance section in order to contribute to efficient production / broadcast support in line with industry standards and customer requirements, Ensure monitoring of pre-production preparations in accordance with checklists and schedules

Manage and coordinate integrated planning and scheduling of electrical and lighting resources to ensure quality broadcast delivery

Manage individual and team performance

Control overtime and freelance utilization within agreed parameters

Manage production in accordance with customer requirements and broadcast standards

Produce monthly reports that are an accurately reflection of status on deliverables and utilisation of allocated facilities

Ensure on time completion of maintenance and repairs within approved budgets

Manage documentation of equipment service and repair history in order to determine functionality, reliability and costs

Ensure customer queries and complaints are resolved in accordance with TVOB service standards

Provide functional advice and support to facilitate good customer service and improve service delivery

Regular liaison and communication with customers to build and maintain excellent customer relations

Develop and submit business cases for capital expenditure

Facilitate and continuously update SOP's to promote best practice

Ensure the installation and maintenance of electrical and lighting equipment comply with quality standards

Responsible to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety for the Electrical Installation Regulations

Responsible to ensure compliance to municipality by-laws for electrical installations

Responsible to ensure that a valid electrical certificate of compliance is issued for electrical installation work.

Minimum Requirements

Post matric qualification in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)

At least 4 years broadcast or production experience

Good understanding of lighting equipment within Television broadcasting environment

Registered to issue electrical certificates of compliance

Knowledge and understanding of ScheduAll

Knowledge and understanding of SAP

Knowledge & understanding of municipal by-laws

Knowledge & understanding of flow diagrams

Good people management

Excellent problem solving skills
