HEAR ME MOVE NOMINATED 5 TIMES FOR THE 2016 AMAA

JOHANNESBURG Coal Stove Pictures landmark feature film Hear Me Move that screened at both the Cannes and London Film Festivals has been nominated in 5 different categories for the pretigous Africa Movie Academy Awards set to take place in Port Harcourt Nigeria this Year. The 2016 AMAA awards will be held at the exclusive Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt Nigeria. South Africas first sbujwa dance film was released in 2015 by Ster-Kinekor Cinemas and internationally, has the honour to be recognized by the AMAA for:

-Best Soundtrack: Zethu Mashika

-Best New Actor: Nyaniso Dzedze

-Best Actress in a supporting Role: Bontle Modiselle

-Best Editing-CA Van As Wegen

-Best Visual Effect-Coal Stove Pictures

Hear Me Move has already won the highly sought after PRISM Award for South African PR Campaign of the Year, the South African Fillm and Television Award (SAFTA) award for Best Achievement in Sound Design by Basiami Bibi Segola and lastly the Kalasha Award for best Score and Screenplay in Kenya. Director Scottness Smith has commented that Hear ME Move depicts South Africa as a country that is full of potential: potential to move on from the past and embrace the future. That's one of the key messages of the film: listen to the past, but don't let that stop you from speaking to the future. Hear Me Move is doing just that, taking Africa by storm. Producer and Actor Wandile Molebatsi commented that Going to Nigeria is a proud moment for me, Nigerians have really put African filmmaking on the map and the honour of representing the positive energy among the youth is soo key in this month, where 16th of June celebrates and acknowledges the struggles and strides that young people have made in South Africa.
