RT continues to reach almost million listeners every week

RT continues to reach almost 2 million listeners every week RT reaches nearly 1.9 million adults 15 every week, equating to 52% of the adult 15 population listening to an RT radio station on a weekly basis. RT Radio 1 continues to be the only station with a weekly reach of over 1.3 million, while RT 2FM has a strong weekly reach of 21% (759,000). RT lyric fm remains steady with a weekly reach of 8% (289,000) adult aged 15 .

Commenting on the latest radio figures for RT , Jim Jennings, Managing Director, RT Radio says: The latest JNLR figures confirm that RT 's radio services continue to thrive with one in three adults 15 tuning in to our stations on a daily basis. Radio 1 continues to lead the daytime schedule with 18 out of the top 20 programmes. 2fm has increased its peak time share over the last six months. RT lyric fm has grown its listeners in almost all of the weekday daytime programmes. In such a competitive market, it is heartening to see our stations performing so well.

RT Radio 1 Continues to be the top station for news & current affairs with Morning Ireland and News On One leading in their programme slot.

Today With Sean O'Rourke, The Ryan Tubridy Show, Liveline with Joe Duffy, The Ray D'Arcy Show and Drivetime proving popular with listeners.

On weekends, The Marian Finucane Show, Saturday with Claire Byrne and Playback are hits with listeners.

RT Radio 1 is yet again Ireland's go-to station for news and current affairs. With Morning Ireland's figures at a significant 449,000 (16,000 increase year-on-year), it remains the country's number one radio programme. In addition to Morning Ireland's gain, News at One has had a strong 34,000 year-on-year increase, while Drivetime has increased by 18,000 year-on-year.

Liveline with Joe Duffy has seen a significant growth of 22,000 year-on-year to 391,000, while Today with Sean O'Rourke saw a gain of 9,000 year-on-year to 326,000. The Ryan Tubridy Show saw a sizeable jump of 23,000 year-on-year and The Ray D'Arcy Show grew by a substantial 21,000 year-on-year.

The RT Radio 1 Weekend schedule proves to be the nation's favourite, with The Marian Finucane Show now at a staggering 400,000 listeners on Saturdays, an increase of 27,000 year-on-year and 7,000 book-on-book. Saturday with Claire Byrne also saw a gain of 14,000 year-on-year and an increase of 6,000 book-on-book with 244,000 listeners tuning in.

Morning Ireland remains the number 1 radio programme in Ireland with 449,000 listeners, an increase of 16,000 listeners (y-o-y).

The Ryan Tubridy Show has 319,000 listeners on weekdays with a huge jump of 23,000 (y-o-y).

Today with Sean O'Rourke continues to deliver a huge audience of 326,000, up 9,000 (y-o-y)

Liveline with Joe Duffy sees 391,000 listeners tune in every weekday, with a significant gain of 22,000 listeners (y-o-y).

News at One is the leading lunch-time news programme across Ireland with 348,000 weekday listeners, a massive increase of 34,000 (y-o-y).

The Ray D'Arcy Show has an impressive 211,000 listeners tuning in weekdays and significant jump of 21,000 (y-o-y).

Drivetime with Mary Wilson remains the leading national evening programme in Ireland with 236,000 listeners and a leap of 18,000 listeners (y-o-y)

Marian Finucane is still the leader at the weekend, with a massive 400,000 tuning in on Saturday up 7,000 (b-o-b) and a gain of 27,000 (y-o-y) and 321,000 listeners on Sundays.

Saturday with Claire Byrne sees 244,000 listeners tune in with a significant jump of 6,000 (b-o-b) and 14,000 gain (y-o-y).

The Business continues to lead in its slot with 310,000 tuning in, a huge jump of 30,000 (y-o-y) on Saturday mornings.

Playback gained 7,000 listeners (b-o-b) and 5,000 (y-o-y) to 281,000 as listeners catch up on a range of RT Radio 1 programmes across the week.

News/Papers/Countrywide has 206,000 tuning in on Saturday and a significant gain of 13,000 (y-o-y).

News/ Papers/ Sunday Miscellany gained 7,000 listeners (b-o-b) to 246,000 on Sunday mornings with a notable gain of 25,000 (y-o-y).

Other gains across the RT Radio 1 schedule include:

The Ronan Collins Show grew by 4,000 listeners to 218,000 (y-o-y).

The John Creedon show gained 2,000 (b-o-b) and 4,000 (y-o-y) to 36,000.

Arena saw a gain of by 5,000 listeners (y-o-y) to 31,000.

Papers/World Report/Bowman (a weekly archive programme) gained 2,000 (y-o-y) to 156,000.

Saturday Sport/Doc on One gained 10,000 listeners (y-o-y) with 188,00 now tuning in.
