TBWA Africa expands its African network in Uganda --

The Africa network of the global TBWA advertising group recently signed an affiliate agreement with digital Ugandan agency Kinaya. According to Media Update website, this is part of the group s drive to grow its African network and strengthen TBWA s African digital offering.

Kinaya, based in Kampala, was formed in 2009 and currently has 11 employees. They specialise in social media, digital creative development, branding and PR with a client list that spans financial services, telecommunication, hospitality, public health, retail & entertainment. Kinaya are in their second year of working with Stanbic Bank Uganda, TBWA s biggest Pan-African client.

We are excited about the impact that the Kinaya team will have on our business in Uganda. Our belief is that it places focus in the correct areas. The African ad industry is growing especially in the digital space and our affiliation with Kinaya will give us the specialist support needed for both existing and prospective clients , said Graham Cruikshanks, TBWA s director of Africa operations.

The partnership further endorses TBWA s commitment to driving a digital capability across the continent and follows the launch of TBWA s Digital Arts Network which will proactively stay in tune with the diverse digital demands of African-based clients and consumers.

TBWA s Africa network comprises of 18 offices in 15 countries outside South Africa.
