PXW - X 70, the first professional camcorder XDCAM compact 4K-ready Sony Although the capacity of recording 4K will be available in a future update, new camcorder incorporates one sensor more, eight times higher than conventional single-chip 1/3 sensors, allowing you to provide an optimal response in low light situations.
Sony He has presented the PXW - ready 4 K, his first professional XDCAM camcorder compact 70 X. Expanding the popular XDCAM family, based on files to a smaller format and a smaller price, Sony has combined an amazing image quality, speed of recording and robust performance in a perfect package for a wide range of applications, from reports of news and documentaries up to work at events.
The PXW - X 70 has a CMOS Exmor R sensor type 1.0 20 megapixels resolution. Sensor, much larger than the video Super 16 mm frame, offers high resolution and a performance fantasy with little light, as well as greater control over depth of field, as they require different recording current needs. The new camcorder has the ability to record in high definition at XAVC Long GOP, allowing 422 10-bit sampling at 50 Mbps. This, in turn, contributes to a workflow for broadcast-quality more and more widespread among the productions of multiple professional applications.
This addition to the growing XDCAM family of new generation follows the newly announced PXW - X 180 and PXW - X 160 and is based on the successful heritage of the compact professional camcorders from Sony. The PXW - X 70 is the first Sony professional camcorder compact that includes control over Wi-Fi using a Smartphone or tablet using the Content Browser Mobile application. An upcoming release will also offer customers the possibility of updating the PXW - X 70 for recording on Ultra high definition 4K with file transfer and transmission of live video capabilities.
Key features
The CMOS Exmor R sensor type 1.0 and objective Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T of the new Sony camcorder gets amazing picture quality. High sensitivity and fantastic resolution of 14.2 million effective pixels offers eye-catching details and colors even in low-light environments. The lens has an optical 12 x zoom expandable 24 x using the zoom Clear Image, which maintains the full resolution thanks to its increase in resolution. The performance of the zoom can be bent at any point up to 48 x with a digital Extender.
The PXW - 70 X weighs less than 1.4 kg including asa XLR unit, battery (NP-FV70), the lens hood and large eyepiece. It provides interfaces as 3 G-SDI output and connectors HDMI, as well as two XLR handle with zoom lever units. Other professional features include a ring of manual lens that can control the zoom and focus, a hand grip ergonomic with wide zoom lever, two slots for SD memory card backup, simultaneous recording and relay and a filter switchable ND three levels.
The new camcorder provides multiple options depending on the application required, including the files in XAVC, AVCHD-based recording and DV. When recording in XAVC, the PXW - 70 X uses file format MXF, which efficiently compresses images Full HD (1920 x 1080) using the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codec. Image sampling is 4:2:2 10-bit with high efficiency at 25, 35, or 50 Mbps Long-GOP compression.
Finally, highlight the possibilities offered, through integrated Wi-Fi, for monitoring and remote control versatility. NFC functions allow a simple LAN wireless connection with one-touch to a Smartphone or tablet, while the Content Browser Mobile app allows you to confirm the angles from the socket and operate the camcorder operation by remote control, including setting the field angle, timely focus and iris adjustment.
Sony has been proposed updates of 4K and the function of transfer and transmission of files via Wi-Fi, which will be available for the PXW - X 70 in the coming months.
