The film Summer 1993 and Shame series triumph at the Feroz Awards La pera prima de Carla Sim n se alza con el Premio Feroz como mejor pel cula dram tica, mientras que La llamada' gana mejor comedia. En el apartado de series, La verg enza' consigue mejor comedia y La zona' mejor drama.

La V edici n de los Premios Feroz corona a Summer 1993 and Shame como grandes triunfadoras de la noche en cine y serie respectivamente con cuatro premios cada una. El largometraje de Carla Sim n obtiene mejor pel cula dram tica adem s de mejor direcci n, gui n (ambos para la propia Carla) y actor (David Verdaguer).

La mejor pel cula de comedia fue The call de Javier Carlo y Javier Ambrossi. En lo que respecta a las series, Shame obtuvo cuatro galardones: mejor serie de comedia, mejor actriz (Malena Alterio), mejor actor de reparto (Miguel Rell n) y mejor actor para Javier Guti rrez; mientras que The area se erige como mejor serie dram tica y se lleva tambi n el premio a mejor actriz de reparto (Emma Suarez).

Summer 1993, la pera prima de Carla Sim n es una de las cintas revelaci n del a o y sus cuatro Premios Feroz lo confirman. Su productora, Valerie Delpierre destacaba que Verano es un sue o que se conjuga en femenino , mientras que su realizadora compart a la alegr a con todos los profesionales que la han acompa ado en este camino, dirigir es muy dif cil, es solitario, pero no se puede hacer sin un gran equipo detr s , declaraba emocionada la directora catalana.

Javier Guti rrez fue otro de los nombres de la noche ya que consigui un doblete in dito hasta la fecha, obteniendo dos premios en la misma ceremonia: uno por Verg enza en el apartado serie de comedia y otro por su trabajo en el largometraje The author como mejor actor protagonista de cine. El int rprete asturiano se convierte de este modo en la persona m s laureada por los Premios Feroz; con un total de tres, iguala a Jos Sacrist n que atesora uno de reparto, otro por actor de serie y un Feroz de Honor.

La cinta de Manuel Mart n Cuenca que part a con 8 candidaturas abr a la velada llev ndose el Feroz a la mejor actriz de reparto de pel cula, para su interprete Adelfa Calvo. Por su parte, la mejor interpretaci n femenina protagonista era para Nathalie Poza por su labor en la cinta I dont want to say goodbye, un papel por el que no cesa de recibir elogios y galardones desde su presentaci n en el Festival de Cine de M laga.

In the apartado t cnico, destacan los dos premios para la cinta sobre el gigante vasco, Handia. El largometraje de Jon Gara o y Aitor Arregui se llevaba la mejor m sica original (Pascal Gaigne) y mejor cartel (I aki Villuendas).

The call, otras de las grandes favoritas de la noche con seis nominaciones, tardaba en recibir su primer reconocimiento, que ser a al mejor tr iler para Alberto Guti rrez, pero casi al final de la velada se resarcir a al levantar uno de los premios m s importantes, el de mejor pel cula de comedia.

En documental, el premio iba a the Chana de Lucija Stojevic, una cinta que ya estuvo nominada en esta misma categor a a los pasados Premios del Cine Europeo.

Por ltimo, el Premio Especial reconoce un trabajo que seg n el criterio de la prensa especializada hubiera merecido una mejor carrera comercial, y la ganadora fue La vida y nada m s de Antonio M ndez Esparza, una cinta que ya obtuvo el premio FIPRESCI de la pasada edici n del Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebasti n.

Series de premio Los Premios Feroz tambi n reparten galardones para la ficci n por episodios y en este mbito, Shame fue la clara dominadora de la noche logrando un completo: cuatro premios de otras tantas nominaciones. De su lado ca an el premio a la mejor serie de comedia y los premios para tres de los principales actores de su reparto. Adem s del premio ya nombrado para Javier Guti rrez, su compa era Malena Alterio, uno de los nombres m s dotados para la comedia de nuestro pa s, era elegida como mejor actriz; mientras que el veterano Miguel Rell n consegu a su Feroz como mejor actor de reparto.

Por su parte, en el apartado de drama, The area consegu a las otras dos estatuillas que se pon an en juego: mejor serie dram tica y mejor actriz de reparto. Este ltimo galard n era para Emma Su rez, un nombre con may sculas de la interpretaci n en Espa a y que en los ltimos a os cada uno de sus trabajos le traen innumerables distinciones, tal es as que la pasada edici n estuvo nominada al Premios Feroz a mejor actriz de cine por Julieta.

La gala de los Premios Feroz, otorgados por la Asociaci n de Informadores Cinematogr ficos de Espa a (AICE), estuvo presentada por el actor Juli n L pez y tuvo un claro tono reivindicativo en favor del potencial de la mujer dentro de la industria cinematogr fica. S lo mujeres cineastas subieron al estrado para dar a conocer a los nombres ganadores: Isabel Coixet, Bel n Rueda, Inma Cuesta, Leticia Dolera, rsula Corber , Rossy de Palma o Marian lvarez fueron algunos de los nombres m s destacados.

Ver nica Forqu , Premio Feroz de Honor Uno de los momentos m s esperados de la gala fue la entrega del Premio Feroz de Honor a la actriz Ver nica Forqu que en su discurso, hacia una clara declaraci n de intenciones muy acorde con el tono feminista que marc la ceremonia. Todav a no he hecho pel culas dirigidas por mujeres, pero me gustar a hacer una antes de morirme afirmaba ante un p blico rendido a su poderosa filmograf a.

Ganadora de cuatro premios Goya, dos Sant Jordi, tres Fotogramas de Plata y premiada tambi n en los festivales de Valladolid y M laga, entre otros galardones, Ver nica Forqu (Madrid, 1955) ha impregnado de su inconfundible personalidad una parte sustancial del cine y la televisi n espa olas de las ltimas cuatro d cadas , apuntaba el Comit Organizador de los Premios Feroz.
