New for IBC 2019 is:
Ultrix V4.0
The latest V4.0 firmware update for the award-winning Ultrix routing/AV processing platform adds additional support for IP integration and control enhancements for the key additions to Ultrix that were announced at NAB 2019 - the Ultricore BCS control system, Ultricore-IP software license and the Ultritouch touchscreen monitoring and control panel. Ultricore BCS gives customers the option of adding a very robust and powerful external controller that allows systems to grow in scale and complexity. Its unique front panel UI provides critical system information such as alarms, memory utilization and client connections directly from the controller without having to go to a PC, which simplifies operation and monitoring. The Ultricore IP license can be added to Ultricore BCS (when used with IP workflows) and breaks through the barriers of implementing IP technology by pooling IP streams into logical entities. This enables operators to use the same workflows and control surfaces giving them confidence to perform their tasks in hybrid or all IP environments.
Ultritouch 4
Brand new for IBC 2019, Ross is proud to launch the Ultritouch 4, a larger 4RU version of the existing 2RU Ultritouch facility monitoring and control panel. Ultritouch 2 has already won several awards and has been hailed as a facility lifesaver'; unlike traditional panels, Ultritouch has a completely customizable touchscreen interface that enables users to tailor the panel to fit their workflow, rather than having to work around the limitations of the panel. This new 4RU version features a larger touchscreen area and front-facing loudspeaker for audio monitoring, but also includes a front-panel headphone jack and USB port for peripherals. The Ultritouch 4 is rack-mountable and an optional VESA mount kit is also available.
